Squadrons
Like military squadrons, FSX Air Force squadrons are a group or team of people carrying out a specific mission.
Alpha Squadron
The Alpha squadron, under command of Lt. Col. Alpha, is mainly comprised of Presidential transportation and high-profile flights locally and across the world. The mission of all members in the Alpha squadron is to maintain good discipline and have exceedingly great knowledge in flying aircraft. Members must be committed to their job in this squadron and should maintain at least 100 flight hours in different environments. Since this squadron is highest in command, members with the highest test scores will be part of it. Members of the FSX Air Force who exceed the challenge and show the team that they can be FSX Air Force high priority leaders will be tested to join the Alpha squadron. Members can not skip squadrons while promoting, they will have to go in order. The Alpha squadron can simply be described as the highest priority squadron, with the most responsibilities.
Shark Squadron
The Shark squadron, the main port of all leading escorts, interceptors, and surveyors, prepare most meetings and manipulate most squadron activities and events. The Shark squadron is led by Major (AF) Shark. This squadron is comprised of members with high test scores and excellent flying skills. An escort's job is to guard the president and/or other presidential or government related aircraft. Escorts also lead airshows, such as the naval Blue Angels. Interceptors guard the whole airspace, or area surrounding an aircraft, complying with any government related aircraft. If an unspecified or enemy aircraft breaks the airspace without government permission, interceptors rock their wings back and forth, signaling the plane to land at the nearest airport immediately. Surveyors make sure that airspace ahead of an aircraft is clear for flying and prepare the aircraft for landing at their destination airport.
Techno Squadron
The Techno squadron, led by Captain Technotron, is mainly comprised of Airlift commanders, UAVs (Unmanned Aerial Vehicles), aircrew operations, and Air Force safety maneuvers. This team must be made up of aviators with quick response to motions and must be able to determine how and where the Air Force One will fly. Members of the Techno squadron assists the Air Force One in flight planning, and works with the Shark squadron to merge information and enable Air Force One to fly safely and on schedule. The Techno squadron leads aerial operations, such as mid-air refueling. This squadron refuels the Air Force One during intercontinental and worldwide flights. The Techno squadron is also first priority in carrying out enlisting operattions, including prospective testing.
